《This is the river Thames》的教案
教学目标：
1、使学生能正确运用long / wide / beautiful/ 等词描述景物或物品。
2、了解世界各地著名建筑，培养学生英语学习兴趣，增长见识。
教学重点：
1、单词发音准确，如Thames等。
2、本课四个景物词组
the River Thames Big Ben
Hyde Park Tower Bridge
3、使学生能运用所学词组对自己熟悉的景物进行简单、正确的描述。
4、激发学生兴趣，使他们敢于用简单的语言准确描述身边景物。
教具准备：
单词卡片、录音机等。
设置教法：
运用TPR、游戏、小组竞赛等活动吸引学生的注意力，并激发其热情，培养学生的兴趣，小组合作学习等方法进行组织教学。
教学步骤：
Step1: Warm up
1、Sing an English song.
2、Greetings.
3、Words game
4、谁能读得最快最好。
5、小组竞赛。
（设计意图：开展活动，活跃气氛，为下一步教学做准备，并复习单词long / tall / beautiful）
Step2: Presentation
1、老师装扮成一名导游 T: Now, I am a guitde. I’ll take you to visit London. Look,! What ‘s this?
(呈现图片一：the River Thames ) Do you know what it is ?
板书：the River Thames，教学生认读这个词组。
（1）个别学生读。
（2）男、女读。
（3）小组读。
2、Qustions:
(1) Is it long? Is it wide?
学生做出相应的回答，同时教学单词wide。
小结：This is the River Thames . It is very long . It is very wide.
学生模仿总结，教读这些句子，同时用同样的`方法出示图片并教学
Big Ben / Hyde park / Tower Bridge.
3、Play the tape:
（1）学生听音指图。
（2）再放录音，学生跟读课文。
（设计意图：设计情景，导入新知，以图片吸引学生注意力，让学生注意观察，熟练掌握词组。通过问答，达到对图片描述的目的，使学生能自由地对熟悉的景物进行简单、正确地描述。）
Step3: Practice
1、师生练习T: This is the River Thames.
Ss: It’s long and wide.
T: This is the Big Ben.
Ss: It’s very old. And it’s very famous.
2、生生练习
3、呈现学生熟悉的四幅海阳风景图，指导学生利用句型This is / It is 来谈论这些图片。
（1）家家悦超市。
（2）招虎山森林公园。
（3）凤城万米海滩。
（4）新元广场。
4、让学生欣赏四幅世界各地的著名风景图，并做简单地描述。
（the Summer Palace / the Buckingham Palace/
the Great Wall / Mount Qomolangma）
（设计意图：介绍一些世界各地的著名景点，培养学生的兴趣，增长见识。）
Step 4: learn to sing : London Bridge Is Falling Down.
1、Play the tape.
2、Teach Ss sing and do the actions.
（设计意图：让歌曲陶冶情操，进一步激发学生的英语学习兴趣，放松紧张的学习气氛，在快乐的音乐中结束本课。）
Homework：
使用句型This is / It is描述你曾去过的一个景点。
板书设计：
Unit 2 This is the River Thames.
