姐姐学英语是非常刻苦的。记得有一次，姐姐为了提升自己的口语水平，去西湖边给老外做志愿者。那天风雨交加，电闪雷鸣，妈妈对姐姐说：“今天这么大的雨，就不必再去了。”姐姐却说：“这点风雨怕什么，难道下雨天就不能办事了吗？”姐姐带着雨伞一溜烟地走了。

下午，姐姐心满意足地回来了。虽然衣服都被淋湿了，但是她心里还是美滋滋的。她说一天一共带了五个老外去逛了西湖的名胜古迹，和他们对话，收获了很多呢！
