Unit 9 How was your weekend ?

教材分析:

本课主要让学生简单谈论上周末的活动,初步感受学习一般过去时。

教学目标:

1.知识目标:学习新词was, did, went, stay, practice; 掌握句型 What did…do last weekend?... How was … weekend? It was…

2.能力目标:能运用一般过去时谈论过去的活动。

3.情感态度:多做有意义的事情。

教学重点和难点:

单词:is, do, go, have, read, see, write,sit的一般过去式形式was, did, went, had, read, saw

短语:go shopping, go for a walk, visit sb,watch sb do sth, talk show,study for…, It is time to do sth.

语音:掌握动词词尾所加的-ed的三种不同的读音规则 | t | | d | | id | 。

语法:掌握一般过去式的定义及与其连用时间状语。

语言结构:(1)What did you /he/she/they do last weekend?

(2) ----How was your weekend? ----- It was great!/ OK.

(单词,词组在一般过去时中的用法以及What引导的特殊疑问句是难点)

教学方法:运用合作交流,互相探究,竟猜游戏等多种学习方法,促进同学间互相了解,开展多种类型的任务型活动,提供给学生合作交流的空间和时间,促使学生为完成任务和同学进行合作 

课时安排:一课时

教学过程:

Step 1 Free talk

Ask some questions like:

Who’s on duty today?

What’s the weather like? Answer and talk about something.

让同学们回答下列问题

1. Do you like weekend? (Let some students answer)

It takes them three minutes to talk about the question.

2. Why do you like weekend? (let the students answer) Most of the students like the weekend

此时教师用汉语问:

“在周末期间问你干了什么?

这句话用英语这么回答?

Let the students guess.

At last the teacher give them right answer

3. What did you do over the weekend?(板书、学习)

4. What did you do over the weekend? (Let sb. answer the question)

I played basketball.

Step2 出示照片(有各种活动)

Ask students to match the words with the picture

The students talk about it in pairs.

First the students read after the teacher

T:What did you do? I played the guitar. …

T:What did she do? She went to movies over the weekend.

学生看图,回答问题What did you do? What did she do?

Step 3 出示片图一、图片二、图片三(关于周末的活动)

Pairwork

Role play students A ask and student B answer

Then let them show it in pairs A: What did you do over the weekend, Lucy?

B: I played tennis.

Step4. listening

2a and 2b (5’) Listen and underline the words you hear, then listen again and write. Listen and underline

Step 5 Ask students to discuss and find out the rules of verbs in past simple tense.、

一般过去时 一般现在时

1 I/She usually go /(goes)to movies on weekends.

2 I/She went to movies over the weekend.

Step6. summary the rules of verbs in past simple tense.

1). regular verbs: + ed. /id/. y i +ed

2). Irregular verbs: is / was are / were do / did go / went buy / bought

3). 过去时无人称和数的变化。

Step7 Exercise

1. Circle the correct word in each sentence

1) Ming ( play / played ) soccer last weekend .

2) Tony ( did / do ) his homework over the weekend .

3) Anita ) cleaned / clean ) her room on Saturday .

4) I ) visit / visited ) for the science test .

2. Match the sentence parts . Draw a line .

1) I went tennis .

2) She did to the movies .

3) He cleaned her homework .

4) Li Ping played soccer .

Step8.
